I absolutely love Dr. Malouf and his wonderful team. Several of his employees have been with him for 20+ years and, in my book, that speaks volumes. I went to Dr. Malouf to get rid of several facial scars. I have completed 3 rounds of IPL. It did lighten the scars quite a bit, but I wanted them gone. If you are considering IPL, it’s relatively painless and the results are well worth the cost. Next, I did Co2 laser. I am currently 8 days post op and I am LOVING the results. 98% of my facial scars are gone and I’m not even done healing yet. I know it will only get better from here. If you are considering Co2 laser treatment, I will be quite frank, it’s extremely painful. My ONLY reason for 3 stars vs 5 stars is because I don’t feel he effectively manages pain for this procedure. If you do well with lidocaine and diazepam then you have nothing to worry about. However, you are up a shit creek without a paddle if lidocaine doesn’t fully work for you, which was my situation. Fortunately, tramadol was very effective In managing the post op pain though. After day 3 the pain was virtually gone and I no longer needed anything for pain. I wish Dr. Malouf would provide an alternative for managing pain during the procedure, especially when it’s obvious the lidocaine isn’t working. I don’t think anyone should have to endure that level of pain when there are alternatives available for effectively managing it. If you have a high pain tolerance, then Dr. Malouf is your doc. I will continue to see him as I am very happy with the results. Aside from the pain issue, he is a very talented and knowledgeable physician. His staff is what every doctor dreams of. They are the best! I would highly recommend him.
